This summer the Village will be performing asphalt rejuvenation maintenance. The contractor will be applying Reclamite Maltene Based Rejuvenating Agents to particular roads in the Village. The following link explains the process the contractor will be using: Corrective Asphalt Materials.
This product is designed to extend the life of the pavement by sealing the pavement from the elements. This preventative maintenance effort will minimize the need for more costly methods of street repair. This rejuvenation product is environmentally safe and will extend the pavement's lifespan. However, due to the process, there will be NO on-street parking on these roads during the process between the hours of 8AM and 5PM. Residents will also be asked to turn off their lawn sprinkling systems that may spray on the pavement because water can reduce the effectiveness of the rejuvenator.

How long does the process take?
Once the contractor begins on the street, the process will only take a few hours. Once the road has been sanded, the road will be fully opened to traffic.
When can I drive on the road?
You can exit your driveway and drive through the work area, but go slow and stay on the sanded area. Be advised that driving onto a driveway before the contractor is finished sanding may cause the drive way and sidewalk to become temporarily stained.
When will the road be cleaned up?
After the product is applied, an application of limestone screenings will be applied to the road. This is not permanent. The screenings will be swept up a day or two after the product is applied.
What should I do if I get the rejuvenation product on my car?
If addressed right away, soap and water will take it off. If left on the car for a week or longer, the contractor recommends WD-40 or a bug and tar remover to be used. The product will not do any permanent damage to the vehicle.
